Some form of help is already coming the way of Ivorian football star, Emmanuel Eboue, as one of his former clubs, Galatasaray, has offered him a coaching job.
The gesture is to help Eboue pick up the pieces of his life after a harrowing experience in which he even contemplated suicide.
Eboue, who played football at its peak, slept in a palatial home and drove expensive cars, recently disclosed he is bankrupt after a bitter divorce battle with his ex-wife.
He played for Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side between 2004 and 2011.

Anthony Weiner, the disgraced former congressman who pleaded guilty in May to sexting with a 15-year-old girl, was sentenced Monday to 21 months in prison.
Weiner, 53, also faces spending the rest of his life as a registered sex offender for his lengthy and lurid social media contacts with the North Carolina teen.
Weiner cried as he read from a written statement in Manhattan federal court, saying he was sorry and that he was “a very sick man for a very long time.”
“The crime I committed was my rock bottom,” Weiner said. “I live a different and better life today.”
Weiner, who must report to prison by Nov. 6, wept again after the sentence was announced.

Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush has been moved out of intensive care after being hospitalised with pneumonia last week, his doctors said on Monday.
The 92-year-old will remain in the hospital for much of the week, but was in good spirits.
He was taken off a breathing tube last Friday.

Fidel Castro, the Cuban revolutionary leader who built a communist state on the doorstep of the United States is dead.
Mr. Castro, who for five decades defied U.S. efforts to topple him, died on Friday at the age of 90, state-run Cuban Television said.
Mr. Castro had been in poor health since an intestinal ailment nearly killed him in 2006 and he formally ceded power to his younger brother, Raul, two years later.
It was Raul who announced his brother died on Friday evening.

The former president of El Salvador has been arrested after corruption charges were made against him, his lawyer confirmed on Sunday.
Elias Antonio Saca and two former employees were taken into custody, his lawyer, Silvia Bonilla, said in the capital, San Salvador.
