Armed robbers on Tuesday attacked a bullion van belonging to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), at Hawan Kibo hills, near Riyom in Plateau, killing two policemen attached to the van as escorts.
The spokesman of Plateau Police Command, Terna Tyopev, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos that the van was ambushed by the robbers.
He said three other policemen attached to the bullion van were injured.

Ahmad Salkida, the Nigerian journalist declared wanted by the Nigerian Army over Boko Haram’s latest video, on Monday said he had commenced preparations to return to country to honour the invitation.
In a statement he released on Monday, Mr. Salkida said the Army knew he was not in the country prior to being declared wanted, adding that his journey home would be quickened if the government could fund his trip.

Luis Suarez was back in the goal-scoring form as Barcelona claimed a Spanish Super Cup advantage with a 2-0 victory away to Sevilla.
